- The silicone seal around the bath is removed
- Masking is applied to protect the rest of the bathroom
- The bathtub is treated with acid for better adhesion. This process is safe for both pipes and the environment since the acid is neutralized prior to draining.
- Wet sanding of the bathtub and detail repairs
- The bathtub is washed with solvent
- A coat of primer is applied, followed by three coats of polyurethane for a sparkling finish and easy maintenance. All gasses and odours generated by this step are pumped outdoors by our ventilation system.
- Leave the bathroom door closed for five hours following the work. After five hours it is safe to use the toilet and the sink as long as the masking around the tub remains in place.
- Twenty-four hours later, you may remove all masking, apply silicon sealant and re-install the overflow and the drain in case they have been removed.
- The bathtub can be used 48 hours after the work.
